Chamber Plays Host to Manitoba Cabinet

Nov 26, 2018

The Manitoba Chambers of Commerce (MCC) provided the venue that brought together our members and the men and women that comprise the provincial cabinet for a night of conversation.

Last Wednesday (Nov. 21), MCC members were positioned to share ideas and provide the Manitoba government with insight on the challenges they are facing and creating connections to further those conversations. Policy-based advocacy is at the forefront of MCC’s relationship with the provincial government and this annual dinner supplements this process.

The evening began with greetings from the premier, who once again, spoke about the value of the chamber movement, as well as the importance of consulting with Manitobans to ensure we are on the right track to success. The rest of the evening consisted of lively discussions over a great meal and concluded with a Q & A with Minister Heather Stefanson, Blaine Pedersen, and Jeff Wharton. The three minister’s discussed the issues as they enter the back half of this mandate, the progress they have made, and where there are signs for optimism.
