Aug 10, 2026

The Board of Directors of the Manitoba Chambers of Commerce is announcing an upcoming leadership transition.

Chuck Davidson has announced his intention to step down as President and CEO effective September 4, 2026.

“On behalf of the Board of Directors, I want to thank Chuck for his outstanding leadership and his significant contributions to the Manitoba Chambers of Commerce over the past 13 years,” said Vince Barletta, Board Chair. “Chuck has been a tireless advocate for Manitoba businesses and communities and has played an instrumental role in strengthening the Chamber’s voice and impact across our province. We thank him for his service and wish him every success in the next chapter of his career.”

To ensure continuity of leadership, Elisabeth Saftiuk will serve as Acting President & CEO, effective September 8.

Saftiuk has served as Vice President, Policy & Government Relations for nearly five years and is a member of the Manitoba Chambers’ senior leadership team. She leads the organization’s policy, advocacy and government relations work and has established strong relationships with local chambers, governments, members and partners across Manitoba.

“Elisabeth brings extensive leadership experience, a deep understanding of our organization, and trusted relationships across Manitoba’s business community,” said Barletta. “The Board has every confidence in her ability to provide strong leadership and ensure continuity as we move through this transition.”

As Acting President & CEO, Saftiuk will provide organizational leadership and oversee the Manitoba Chambers’ advocacy, partnerships, events, member services and strategic initiatives while the Board undertakes a comprehensive search for the organization’s next permanent President & CEO.

The Manitoba Chambers of Commerce remains firmly focused on its mandate to advocate for a competitive Manitoba and support the success of businesses and communities throughout the province.

The Board of Directors will provide further updates as the search process advances.
