6P Marketing

Founded on the belief that Manitoba businesses can compete — and lead — on the national and global stage, 6P Marketing has spent nearly two decades helping organizations grow while remaining proudly rooted in Manitoba. Led by founder Paul Provost, a self-described “Born Again Manitoban,” the company is recognized for its commitment to supporting local industries, mentoring future leaders, and strengthening downtown Winnipeg. Through bold leadership and purposeful growth, 6P Marketing continues to showcase Manitoba talent, resilience, and potential.

Decor Cabinets

Rooted in Southern Manitoba, Decor Cabinets has grown into one of the region’s leading manufacturers, employing more than 500 people across multiple facilities. Through major investments in innovation and advanced manufacturing, Decor continues to demonstrate that world-class manufacturing can thrive in Manitoba. Beyond its business success, the company is deeply committed to community — supporting local charities, education, recreation, and newcomer families while helping strengthen the fabric of Southern Manitoba for generations. Through its leadership, innovation, and community impact, Decor Cabinets exemplifies what it means to be a Manitoba Champion.

Dreamcatcher Promotions

Founded by Michelle Cameron of Peguis First Nation, Dreamcatcher Promotions is a powerful example of Indigenous entrepreneurship and Manitoba leadership in action. What began with a single machine and a dream has grown into a thriving business employing more than 50 people and building partnerships across Canada, including with the Winnipeg Jets and The North West Company. Guided by a belief that reconciliation is built through action, opportunity, and respect, Dreamcatcher Promotions continues to create jobs, invest in people and communities, and demonstrate that Indigenous-owned businesses can compete and lead on a national stage while strengthening Manitoba’s economy at home.

HyLife

From one barn in rural Manitoba to becoming one of North America’s leading integrated premium pork producers, HyLife’s story is one of growth, innovation, and a deep commitment to people and community. Headquartered in Steinbach and employing more than 2,600 people, HyLife has helped position Manitoba as a global leader in agriculture and food production while supporting thousands of jobs across rural Manitoba. Through its commitment to employee well-being, workforce development, and community investment, HyLife continues to demonstrate that strong businesses are built by investing in people.

Lakehouse Properties

Lakehouse Properties has helped transform Clear Lake into one of Manitoba’s most vibrant and growing year-round tourism destinations. Guided by founder Karly McRae’s belief that if you need something, you make it, grow it, or build it, the company has led the restoration and revitalization of iconic properties while helping redefine Clear Lake as far more than a seasonal destination. Working alongside local businesses, artists, and Indigenous partners, Lakehouse Properties continues to showcase the beauty, culture, and unique stories of Manitoba to visitors from around the world.

mode40

Founded in 2020, mode40 has quickly grown into one of Manitoba’s most innovative technology companies, proving that globally competitive technology can be built right here on the Prairies. The company develops advanced industrial AI and operational intelligence platforms that are transforming manufacturing, education, aerospace, defence, and healthcare systems around the world. While serving nearly 100 manufacturing organizations globally, mode40 continues to invest locally through workforce development, education partnerships, community leadership, and efforts to establish Canada’s first Centre of Excellence for Industrial AI, Data and Automation Execution in Winnipeg.

North Forge

Founded to strengthen Manitoba’s innovation economy, North Forge has become one of Canada’s leading startup incubators, accelerators, and fabrication labs — helping entrepreneurs turn ideas into companies that create jobs, attract investment, and shape the future of our province. From artificial intelligence and advanced manufacturing to clean technology and health innovation, North Forge is showing Manitoba founders they no longer need to leave the province to succeed. By championing entrepreneurs, investing in people, and showcasing Manitoba innovation on a national and international stage, North Forge continues to help shape the future of Manitoba’s economy every day.

Penn-co Construction

What began as a small local contractor has grown into Manitoba’s largest independent construction company, delivering projects across Canada while remaining firmly rooted in the values it was built on. Founded in 1959 in Blumenort, Penn-co Construction has spent more than six decades helping build the communities, infrastructure, and spaces that shape life across Manitoba. From schools and healthcare facilities to water treatment plants and aviation infrastructure, Penn-co’s work strengthens communities, supports long-term economic growth, and helps build Manitoba’s future — one project, one partnership, and one community at a time.

PhiBer Manufacturing

Designed on the tractor seat and refined in the boardroom, PhiBer Manufacturing began in 1996 as a practical solution to a farming challenge. From its roots in the rural community of Crystal City, the company has grown into a leading agricultural manufacturer with 13 product lines serving producers around the world. Through investments in advanced manufacturing technology, robotics, digital systems, and innovation, PhiBer is creating jobs, strengthening the local economy, and helping position Manitoba as a leader in agricultural technology and advanced manufacturing — all while remaining deeply committed to community and meaningful careers in rural Manitoba.

U Multicultural

Grounded in the belief that every voice deserves to be heard, U Multicultural has become a powerful force for inclusion, storytelling, and community connection in Manitoba. Founded by Taya Rtichsheva after encountering barriers within the media industry, the organization has grown into Winnipeg’s only truly local, independent community television station and the city’s only nonprofit ethnocultural and Indigenous-focused radio broadcaster. Through multilingual programming, youth media training, and community storytelling initiatives, U Multicultural continues to strengthen Manitoba’s social, cultural, and economic fabric while creating meaningful opportunities for newcomers, refugees, Indigenous peoples, and emerging media professionals.

Meet the 2026 Recipients

Colleen Munro

CEO and President, Munro Group

An established business owner in heavy construction and a proven entrepreneur and innovator, Colleen Munro is president of the Munro Group of Companies.

Growing up on job sites, Colleen learned the business from the ground up, mentored by her father, Hugh Munro. She has spent much of her life forging a path in a male-dominated industry, earning respect and blazing a trail for others through her advocacy and leadership.

Over time, Colleen has embraced opportunities to expand her business offerings and today, the Munro group includes Hugh Munro Construction, Lilyfield Quarry, Fort Whyte Lowbedding, and ClearSecure.

Calm Air International LP.

Calm Air serves 22 small and large communities throughout Manitoba’s North and Nunavut. Much more than an airline, the company acts as a vital lifeline connecting community members, businesses, and governments, with the essential services and cargo they rely upon.

Community support is a core responsibility and defining element within the organization’s identity. With its operations serving primarily northern, remote, and Indigenous communities, Calm Air is committed to making positive contributions to the social, cultural, and economic health of the people it serves.

The organization supports healthcare, education, mental health, cultural revitalization, reconciliation, youth athletics, and regional economic development initiatives each year through flights, sponsorships and in-kind freight services, ensuring communities remain connected, supported, and resilient.

While the service is operational, the impact is human and it is clear that Calm Air cares, both about the communities it serves and the people it employs.
