News and Resources for Business

Canada and the United States share one of the world’s most integrated and mutually dependent trading partnerships. As the future of our trade relationship with the United States becomes increasingly uncertain, the Manitoba Chambers of Commerce is here for our members and the business community to help you navigate what it all means, find updates and resources, and ask questions or share feedback.

MCC News & Updates

Tariffs on Canadian-made goods would be a lose-lose situation, harming workers and businesses on both sides of the border, including here in Manitoba – as well as raising costs for consumers, further compounding affordability problems. Protecting this trade partnership is essential for both countries. At the same time, opportunities to diversify our province’s exports are available and must be explored. As part of Canada, we can leverage 14 trade agreements with over 50 countries around the world, and we are also advocating for changes to internal policies, including reducing inter-provincial trade barriers.
