The Manitoba Green Advantage (MGA) aims to strengthen Manitoba’s position as a leader in the green economy. With near-zero emission electricity and an abundance of critical minerals, Manitoba offers significant green investment opportunities. This program seeks to guide the province towards a greener future by providing businesses with the necessary tools and resources to reduce their carbon footprint, build resiliency, and remain competitive.
MAXIMIZING STRATEGIC INVESTMENT
PHASE 1
Manitoba’s Green Economy Roadmap
MGA aims to stimulate economic growth by gathering research and essential data to identify and capitalize on emerging opportunities within Manitoba’s green economy. Developing a comprehensive roadmap for strategic coordination between businesses and policymakers will facilitate streamlined efforts to attract investments and advance Manitoba as a sustainable and prosperous economic landscape. This phase focuses on mapping out the most effective ways to utilize our strengths, cutting-edge technologies, and green financing.
PHASE 2
SME Support Program
The second phase of the Manitoba Green Advantage focuses on empowering SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises) to adopt sustainable practices. This phase will provide targeted supports to help SMEs establish their GHG emission baseline and identify actionable opportunities to integrate sustainability into their operations.
Phase 2 will launch in 2025.
