In partnership with Manitoba’s Lieutenant Governor, Her Honour, The Honourable Janice Filmon, the Manitoba Chambers of Commerce is also pleased to announce the recipients of the prestigious Lieutenant Governor’s Awards at this year’s 35th Manitoba Business Awards. Manitoba’s vibrant communities are shaped by the contributions of extraordinary businesses and individuals who live in them. Awarded to an individual as well as a company, they inspire by their example, and we are honored to recognize them.
Lieutenant Governor Award – Individual

Recognized for his prominent and selfless philanthropy and community service, he was a recipient of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal; he is a Member of the Order of Canada; he was named to the Order of Manitoba; and he was named Humanitarian of the Year in 2012 by the Canadian Red Cross, among numerous other honours.
Lieutenant Governor Award – Business

StandardAero has created a work environment best described as a close-knit community. Volunteering opportunities also play a big role in the company’s social environment. The company and its employees partner with the Canadian Cancer Society, the MS Society, the United Way, Habitat for Humanity and more; the company encourages and supports employee community involvement and volunteering activities.
The Lieutenant Governor Awards will be presented by Her Honour, The Honourable Janice Filmon as part of the 35th Manitoba Business Awards on Friday, October 26 at the Fairmont Winnipeg and hosted by Global National Anchor Dawna Friesen.
