Tory MP’s James Bezan (l) and Randy Hoback (r) lead roundtable discussion with business owners and organizations in Winnipeg.

Last week, members of the federal opposition were in Winnipeg talking to business owners and leaders on the impact the tariffs are having on them and how they could best help. The Manitoba Chambers of Commerce (MCC) were invited to speak with Manitoba MP James Bezan and Saskatchewan’s Randy Hoback, along with merchants, transportation and manufacturing reps.

The two-hour meeting provided business to share details on how the tariffs are starting to impact their businesses. It also provided Hoback, who is a member of the Standing Committee on International Trade to hear from organizations, like MCC, on the idea of identifying new trade partners to open our products to new markets and to become as trade diverse as our economy in Manitoba.
