MCC TAKES PART IN MISSION TO NUNAVUT

Jul 22, 2019

MCC President and CEO Chuck Davidson joined 14 other Manitoba business and community leaders on a two-day trade mission to Rankin Inlet last week organized by World Trade Centre Winnipeg. The primary goal was to attempt to rebuild the relationship between Nunavut and Manitoba in hopes of restoring supply chain opportunities that have been lost in the past number of years.

The mission included meetings with representatives of the Government of Nunavut, the Kivalliq Inuit Association and Sakku Investments Group. The tour delegation also visited the Nunavut Arctic College and the newly-opened, billion dollar Agnico Eagle Mines project. Special thanks to WTC Winnipeg for coordinating, and to our gracious Nunavut hosts for a warm welcome to this northern community.
