Efficiency Manitoba’s Small Business Program

If you’re a small business owner, you know that time and money are precious resources. Between managing day-to-day tasks, taking care of your customers, and keeping a close eye on your profits and expenses, energy efficiency might be the last thing on your mind.

We’re here to help

Our Small Business Program is a full-service solution that helps your business become more energy efficient. Not only will we install free basic energy-saving products, but we’ll also do a free lighting and pitched roof attic insulation assessment of your business to see if you could benefit from even more upgrades.

We offer two levels of energy efficiency upgrades so you can pick the one that’s right for you:

Beyond the energy savings

Energy savings aren’t the only benefit you’ll see from participating in the Small Business Program. Improved lighting and insulation lead to a more comfortable and productive workspace for your employees and enhance the experience for your valued customers. You’ll also save time and money since your new lighting system will require less maintenance.

Real results with a real impact

Finish First Autobody is one of Manitoba’s largest independent family-owned autobody shops and has been serving Winnipeg since 1999. When Joe Bradbury took ownership with a focus on improving the shop’s operations, we were ready to help!

Through the Small Business Program, Joe had LED linear lamps, screw-in specialty bulbs, smart thermostats, and occupancy sensors installed throughout the shop. The new LED lighting has not only brightened and enhanced the safety of their space, but it’s also allowed Joe’s team to colour-match vehicles with better accuracy, which is a key part of their service offering.

“Efficiency Manitoba made it easy to save money and improve our business’ energy efficiency,” said Joe. “As a local small business, reducing our electricity usage and increasing our energy efficiency is critical for us to continue growing and serving our community.”

In addition to the upgrades at Finish First Autobody, Joe also upgraded the rest of his multi-unit commercial building through the Small Business Program, which covered 70% of the upgrade costs (nearly $14,000 combined). By making energy efficiency upgrades to his entire building, Joe will save an estimated $775 on his energy bills annually. This reduction means Joe can invest money elsewhere and continue growing his business to meet his customers’ needs.

Taking part is easy

We know that your to-do list is long, so we’ll handle almost everything for you. All you have to do is get in touch; we’ll guide you through the process and take care of the rest. That means more time in your schedule and more money in your bank account.
