The Harry Mardon award celebrates the extraordinary quality of people who serve on the Manitoba Chambers of Commerce Board of Directors. The award is named after one of the MCC’s most dedicated and committed Board members.
The Manitoba Chambers of Commerce was established in 1931 and owes its longevity and vitality to an extraordinary array of dedicated individuals, but one name stands apart in this rich and varied history: Harry Mardon. Under his leadership the MCC began to thrive and became what it is today: Manitoba’s largest business association and the Voice of Business in our province. If not for Harry’s commitment and vision, the Manitoba Chambers of Commerce may not exist as we know it today.
The Harry Mardon Award was established in 2003 in recognition of Harry’s legacy, to celebrate the dedicated individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the Manitoba Chambers of Commerce and the broader business community. as members of the MCC’s Board of Directors, just as the award’s namesake did before his passing in 2004.
