The Manitoba Chambers of Commerce (MCC) is launching a new artificial intelligence (AI) training initiative to help small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) enhance their productivity, competitiveness and growth, backed by $2 million in provincial government funding.
Manitoba’s Finance Minister, Hon. Adrien Sala, announced the initiative today during MCC’s annual Budget Review Breakfast. In partnership with the Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce, MCC will provide tools and training for SMEs to assess their AI adoption level and readiness, provide tailored recommendations for practical integration, gain hands-on experience and mentoring, and more, to help enhance their AI-driven growth and innovation.
“This strategic investment ensures SMEs have ongoing support and resources to harness AI, enhancing their competitiveness and resilience,” said Chuck Davidson, MCC’s President & CEO. “The Manitoba Chambers of Commerce is dedicated to being a champion of AI and its potential to help businesses achieve sustainable economic growth, which in turn benefits the entire province. Delivering this project through Manitoba’s chamber network will allow us to ensure SMEs from all corners of the province can benefit from structured, practical AI methodologies.”
