MCC Welcomes Two New Staff Members

Last week the Manitoba Chambers of Commerce(MCC) welcomed two new staff members to the office.

Marketing & Communications Specialist, Sherry Kaniuga, will be covering Director of Marketing & Communications, Clara Buelow’s role while she takes parental leave. Sherry is a writer, editor and communicator who enjoys meeting people and telling their stories, along with championing Manitoba and all it has to offer. With an Arts degree in Communications from the University of Winnipeg and a Creative Communications diploma from RRC Polytech, she has been a news reporter, events coordinator, media relations manager, corporate communications specialist, and a freelance writer and editor for various organizations and publications. Sherry lives just outside Winnipeg with her husband and their 12-year-old son, and enjoys camping around our beautiful province, volunteering in her community and supporting our many fantastic local theatre companies.

Administrative Assistant, Kiran Boparai, will be manning the front desk for the MCC and providing administrative support for the Manitoba Mineral Development Fund. Kiran graduated from RRC Polytech with a diploma in Business Administration and has since graduated from the PACE Program at University of Winnipeg with a certificate in Digital and Social Media Marketing.  She was born in Punjab and moved to Winnipeg when she was 6 years old and has been here ever since. Thanks to her background Kiran can speak 3 languages including English, Punjabi, and Hindi. Outside of the office she enjoys reading and spending time with her friends and family.
