Funding Opportunity | PrairiesCan Business Scale-up and Productivity Program

Jul 18, 2024

PrairiesCan is focused on advancing strategic priorities related to the transition to a Green Prairie Economy through it’s Business Scale-up and Productivity (BSP) program.  The BSP program offers interest-free, repayable funding to incorporated businesses who are seeking to improve their productivity, scale-up operations and/or commercialize new technologies.

While the BSP program supports a variety of sectors, there is a keen focus on identifying Expressions of Interest from companies that are seeking to commercialize green technologies, expand markets for existing green products and services or significantly reduce the environmental footprint of their existing operations.

For a more detailed explanation of the program requirements and application process, view the summary brochure describing the basic program parameters is provided or you can visit their website. Interested companies are encouraged to speak to a representative of PrairiesCan to learn more about our programming by email or phone (1 (888) 338-9378).

What do BSP-funded companies have to say?

“The support from PrairiesCan has meant we’ve not just retained our team but we’ve kept on hiring right through the pandemic.”
–Cory Janssen, Co-Founder and Co-CEO, AltaML

“Partnering with the Government of Canada’s Business Scale-Up program has been instrumental to the growth of our brewery. As a manufacturer and producer, we have a great potential to both scale up our operations as well as expand strategically – but only with the right support. Because of the program’s flexibility and financial assistance, our business is years ahead of where we’d be without it.”
–Matthew Sabourin, President, Nonsuch Brewing Co.

“Biktrix is thankful to our government for helping us scale our business by investing in us. PrairiesCan investment will help Biktrix catapult our growth by hiring more qualified staff and generating more economic impact through local and export sales.”
–Roshan Thomas, CEO and Founder, Biktrix Enterprises Inc.
