Chamber of Commerce Day: Working Together for Economic Growth

Oct 18, 2023

Today we celebrate Chamber of Commerce Day, a day to recognize the valuable contributions chambers of commerce and boards of trade make not only in our province but across Canada.

“The Manitoba Chambers of Commerce is proud to serve as the umbrella organization for 64 local chambers across Manitoba,” said Chuck Davidson, President & CEO, Manitoba Chambers of Commerce. “Working together with our members and stakeholders, we work tirelessly to champion sustainable economic growth leading to greater prosperity for business and communities in Manitoba.”

Small or large, Manitoba businesses are key prosperity leaders in the province, creating jobs and moving products that are counted on by millions of people every day. As the voice of business, the chamber network promotes businesses locally, nationally and internationally helping to amplify innovation and economic growth. The Manitoba Chambers of Commerce advocates on behalf of our local chambers and members for a business-friendly climate, supports growth through programs and initiatives and delivers networking opportunities for Manitoba’s business community.

Celebrated annually on the third Wednesday in October, Chamber of Commerce Day further highlights Small Business Week, a week dedicated to learning and networking for small business entrepreneurs. From the earliest days of Manitoba’s chamber movement, chamber leaders have been active in communities, supporting local enterprise, strengthening our economy, creating vital connections to government decision-makers, and serving as the collective voice of business.
