Continuing to grow our knowledge of chamber member and corporate relationships, several Manitoba Chambers of Commerce staff and board members attended the Canadian Chamber Executive of Canada (CCEC) and Canadian Chamber of Commerce AGM and convention in Calgary last week.
It was great to see several local Chamber leaders from across Manitoba also in attendance.
Over four days, MCC took in quality sessions such as diversifying our chamber, growing our chamber brand, AI and automation optimization, increasing revenue opportunities, staff and board of directors best hiring practices and learning from the past for a better future.
After the Canadian Chamber of Commerce AGM, Chamber leaders heard from the President of the Treasury Board, the Honourable Anita Anand, Minister of Small Business, the Honourable Rechie Valdez, and Member of Parliament for Calgary Shuvaloy Majumber who spoke on the state of small business in Canada from the Official Oppositions perspective. Additionally, sessions focused on building a team that will thrive in the face of adversity and uncertainty, global economic and financial market outlook, Inclusive Growth Awards presentations and how the Business Data Lab can inform Chambers.
Calgary was a wonderful learning opportunity and we look forward to implementing many of the things we learned.
