Porter Airlines Takes Flight

Sep 5, 2023

Booking flights to Toronto for work or play? Look no further than Porter Airlines, the Toronto-based airline that will start offering twice a day flights Sept. 7 to Toronto Pearson International Airport.

The arrival of Porter Airlines comes on the heels of recent airlines announcements such as WestJet flights from Winnipeg to Los Angeles, California and Atlanta, Georgia. Flights to Atlanta start Sept. 6 while travel to Los Angeles is underway.

Additional airlines and flights to and from Winnipeg is a significant win for the province. It means more travel options which benefits the Manitoba economy and creates jobs, but also adds healthy competition boosting the tourism industry. Having additional options for business travel is always advantageous. Landing Porter Airlines is a strong sign of support for the province and a win-win for Manitoba.
