#OnTheRoadAgain: Manitoba Chambers of Commerce Summer Tours & What We Heard

Sep 6, 2022

The Manitoba Chambers of Commerce staff has been treated to a number of great community tours this summer, and there are still more to come!

We’ve been to Brandon, Beausejour, Winkler, Steinbach, Portage la Prairie, and Springfield, and we’ve met with the Chambre de commerce francophone de Saint-Boniface’s recently installed president, golfed in the Assiniboia golf tournament. We’ve driven 100s of miles criss-crossing Manitoba to meet with chamber leaders, touring some incredible businesses, and learning about the challenges and opportunities of rural business ownership. Next up on the itinerary – Niverville – and we would be happy to arrange a few more tours in the fall. Please reach out to Korie to arrange a meeting with an MCC delegation!

The message has been consistent no matter where we have gone – supply chain, inflationary pressures, and workforce challenges are the key issues plaguing Manitoba businesses. The Manitoba Chambers of Commerce will continue advocating on your behalf for funding and policies in support of a strong recovery and a skilled workforce.
