Did your organization participate in the Manitoba Race to Reduce?

The Manitoba Race to Reduce has officially finished, and now participants are gearing up for the virtual awards ceremony scheduled for April 29, 2021.

If your landlord or commercial tower, participated this past year, consider applying for one of the awards listed below. The process is easy, and it’s a great way to get recognition for overall efforts to conserve energy or for individual energy efficiency champions in Race buildings.

The deadline to apply is Friday, March 12, 2021.

  • Building Energy Efficiency Champion Award: Recognizes individuals who have demonstrated a commitment to encouraging energy reductions on their floors or in their buildings. We are casting a wide net – anyone who works in a participating Race building is eligible including: Property Managers, Building/Facilities Managers, Building Operators, Green Team Leaders/Members, Marketing Specialists, CEO’s, Executive Directors, Sustainability and Environment Managers, Office Managers etc.
  • Manitoba Race to Reduce Action Award: This award recognizes buildings that have demonstrated their commitment to energy efficiency through concrete efforts completed since joining the Race. Anyone who has undertaken a minimum of four ofMBR2R initiatives since joining the Race will be recognized at our awards ceremony!
  • Manitoba Race to Reduce Action and Innovation Award: The purpose of this award is to recognize participants who have demonstrated leadership and superior commitment to energy reduction through their actions and/or innovative excellence. Examples of potential submissions include new ideas, methods, behaviours, plans, collaborations, and actions to implement energy savings initiatives. Interested applicants can apply as a building team, landlord or tenant.
