MCC Partnering for A Purpose

Nov 20, 2018 | Chamber News

The Manitoba Chambers of Commerce (MCC) is reaching out to members and attendees at our next two MBiz breakfast events (November 28 and December 11) to collect health and hygiene supplies for those in need. Without the basic necessities, life becomes a daily struggle to survive. Recent trends suggest more families than ever are struggling, and without real, positive change, mounting social and economic costs will place greater stress on our health, justice and social service sectors.

MCC, as part of our 2018 United Way campaign, is asking those attending to donate any of the following items at either breakfast event:

  • Soap and body wash
  • Deodorant
  • Shampoo
  • Conditioner
  • Toothbrushes
  • Toothpaste
  • Dental floss
  • Hair brush/comb
  • Pads, tampons, panty liners
  • Shaving cream
  • Disposable razors
  • Alcohol-free mouth wash
  • Band-Aids
  • Nail clippers & files
  • Alcohol-free hand sanitizer
  • Lotion
  • Tissue (individual packages)
  • Lip balm
  • Hair elastics
  • Tweezers
  • Q-tips
  • Sunscreen
  • Bug spray
  • Makeup
  • Nail polish
  • Wash cloths/cleansing wipes
  • Hand towels
  • Bath towels
  • Socks
  • Underwear
  • Bras
  • Pyjamas

For more information on the United Way campaign or how your organization can donate, please contact Korie Werner, MCC’s United Way campaign chair at 204-948-0101 or via email. On behalf of the United Way and the families in need, MCC thanks you in advance for your kind donation.
