The Manitoba Chambers of Commerce (MCC) has launched the second cohort of participating businesses in its Strategic Sustainability Initiative, delivered through the Manitoba Green Advantage (MGA) program in partnership with Green Economy Canada.
Following a successful first cohort, this next group of Manitoba-based SMEs will receive hands-on support to measure emissions, improve efficiency, and strengthen long-term competitiveness through sustainability-focused action. We are pleased to welcome Vermillion Growers, Torque Brewing, Southport Aerospace Centre, Crane & Timber, Titan Environmental Containment Ltd, Frontiers North Adventures, Heartland English School and Paroisse de la Broquerie.
“We wanted to participate in the SSI program because we had always been interested in sustainability but hadn’t been sure where to start or what resources were out there to help us navigate through the process. We are ready to learn more, challenge ourselves, and move from good intentions to meaningful action.”

Funded by PrairiesCan, the Manitoba Government, RBC and in partnership with MEIA, the program provides cohort-based learning, one-on-one technical guidance, and up to $20,000 in implementation funding for eligible businesses to advance green initiatives.
“Sustainability is increasingly a business advantage for Manitoba companies, but what’s most encouraging is that many are guided by strong Manitoba values — doing what’s right for their business, employees, customers and communities,” said Sarah Duval, Program Director of Manitoba Green Advantage. “We hope the program cohort members set an example for a future business community that is resilient and competitive, while remaining committed to building a better Manitoba”.
