Administrative Assistant

Summer Job

Responsibilities:• Manage multiple admin related tasks for MCC lead initiatives
• Prepare and format various types of outgoing correspondence
• Proof read content
• Enter payments and invoices in QuickBooks (Financial Software)
• Perform data entry in various systems
• Prepare reports in coordination with project leads
• Be able to research on an array of topics

Requirements:
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Able to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and manage several competing projects.
• Be able to work independently, take initiative and be adaptable to solving problems either independently or collaboratively as a member of a team.
• Strong MS office skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Experience with QuickBooks – preferred

Experience: Student, Fresh graduate or less than a year.
Position: 3 months term, ending in September 2021
Salary: This is a paid position
Work Location: Remote, with occasional in office tasks (based on prevailing Provincial health orders).

Communications Officer

Responsibilities:
• Develop content for:
o MCC’s website
o Online and print publications
o Social Media planforms
• Write editorials, op-ed pieces, and draft statements based on company’s policies
• Prepare press releases
• Proofread content
• Research for various MCC lead projects
• Research and develop business surveys and reports
• Managing Social Media platforms

Requirements:
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Possess sound knowledge of managing social media platforms.
• Experience in managing website content.
• Able to research on an array of topics to develop conclusive reports and surveys.
• Able to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and manage several competing projects.
• Be able to work independently, take initiative and be adaptable to solving problems either independently or collaboratively as a member of a team.
• Experience in layout and design and using various publication software such as (Photoshop, Adobe, InDesign etc.)- preferred

Experience: Student, Fresh graduate or less than a year.
