“McFadyen Proposes Crime Task Force – Receives Support From Manitoba Police Association” Progressive Conservatives

“We have heard again and again from front line officers that better coordination is needed. That is why we are proposing this new task force. It will combine the efforts of the police, probation officers and Crown attorneys into a single unit that will work together to keep a lid on dangerous offenders,” says Manitoba Progressive Conservative Leader Hugh McFadyen. “The unit will work to ensure dangerous offenders are prosecuted to the full extent of the law, and if the offenders are released, will diligently enforce any conditions to decrease the likelihood that these violent criminals will strike again.” [Click on PIc to learn more]

In February of 2011 the NDP government promised $200 million to build personal care home beds but had no plan for how the funding would be allocated. A McFadyen government will actually keep this promise to add new personal care home beds to our long-term care system, and would fund the commitment for a new personal care home in Dauphin from these funds. “McFadyen Proposes New South Winnipeg Multiplex” Progressive Conservatives

Hugh McFadyen and the Manitoba Progressive Conservatives are proposing a new, 60,000 square foot multiplex facility to be built after determining the best location in cooperation with the community. The multiplex would include two full-size ice rinks, a fitness centre, and auditorium space. The $8 million facility would be located in South Winnipeg, and a Manitoba PC government would work with the City of Winnipeg to determine the appropriate location and land.
