New Air Transport Program will Ensure Patient Comfort and Safety While Travelling to Winnipeg for Medical Care: Oswald

Under the new air transport initiative, regular flights will be scheduled for patients facing longer ambulance rides of two and half hours or more from their local hospital or personal-care home to Winnipeg for testing and treatment. “McFadyen Will Build New Personal Care Home in Dauphin” Progressive Conservatives

In February of 2011 the NDP government promised $200 million to build personal care home beds but had no plan for how the funding would be allocated. A McFadyen government will actually keep this promise to add new personal care home beds to our long-term care system, and would fund the commitment for a new personal care home in Dauphin from these funds.
