Summer Chamber Tours Take MCC Out on the Road

One of the highlights of our role as the voice of business in Manitoba is to actually get out of the office and see what is happening across our great province.

Manitoba Chambers of Commerce (MCC) President and CEO Chuck Davidson spent much of last week touring the province and meeting with business owners about the challenges they are facing and the successes they are having. In Brandon, MCC along with the Brandon Chamber of Commerce met with the Sneath Group (featured in the most recent spring MBiz magazine) who are playing a leadership role in reinvigorating downtown Brandon. In addition, Davidson met with Christie’s Office Supplies, whose business was destroyed by fire earlier this year but is back on their feet in a temporary location. MCC also met with and toured Elite Safety Group, Greenstone Structural Solutions, and Chemtrade.

Kelvin Goertzen before touring the Mennonite Heritage Village Museum, Nature’s Farm, and last year’s MCC Business of the Year Award Winner Steinbach Credit Union.

Finally, on Friday, MCC along with the Winkler Chamber and Winkler Mayor Martin Harder toured Winkler Canvas and Valley Fiber before spending the afternoon in Morden meeting with Manitoba’s new health Minister Cameron Friesen, along with the Morden Chamber, and touring Access Credit Union’s Innovation Centre and the new Retail Incubator Mall.
