Each week leading up to the 33rd Annual MBiz Awards Gala Presented bu Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries, the Manitoba Chambers of Commerce will bring you a closer look at the 15 finalists for this year’s awards.
This week, we look introduce you or reacquaint you with the diverse crop of companies vying to add their names to the list of previous winners of Outstanding Small Business.
Located in Winkler, MB, Penner Waste Incorporated (Inc.) is an Environmentally Licensed Construction & Demolition (C&D) Recycling & Composting Facility, established in January 2000. They offer waste management services to municipal, residential, and Industrial Commercial Institutional (ICI) Sectors, in the heart of the Pembina Valley. Services include residential and commercial pickup, container services and rentals. Waste, compost, and C&D Recycling drop off depots, retail sales of are recycled products and C&D Custom grinding.
With an objective to minimize organics (compostable waste) and recyclables from going to the landfill, their strength is that they have the diversity to offer multiple lines of recycling in many different waste sectors thru out our various locations that service southern Manitoba. An important part of the communities they serve Penner Waste Inc. employees 15 staff in Winkler and 21 at their Pembina Valley Containers site in Morden.
Progressive Sanitation began in August of 2009 as Busy Bee Sanitary Supplies. This locally owned and operated sanitation supply and equipment rental company recently moved to their new location in Brandon to accommodate Progressive Sanitation and a new Mats & Uniforms division.
Progressive Sanitation is Brandon’s leading supplier of sanitation supplies and equipment. They are continually adding items to an already diverse product line to better serve their clientele.
