Manitoba Chambers of Commerce Unveil 33rd Annual MBiz Award Finalists

Sep 12, 2016 | Chamber News

Now in their 33rd year, the Manitoba Chambers of Commerce (MCC) is pleased to announce the company finalists for the upcoming MBiz Awards Gala Presented by Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries.

Established in 1983 to recognize and celebrate outstanding businesses and individual achievements by the Manitoba business community, each year seven awards are given to businesses and/or people who contribute to Manitoba’s employment; have a successful employee relations department; have seen sustainable growth; and been involved in the province’s community development.  Additional consideration is given to nominees demonstrating exceptional achievements for overcoming unique obstacles.

This year, a diverse collection of Manitoba businesses were nominated for consideration. The 2016 MBiz Award finalists are:

Manitoba’s business community has so many hidden gems, something MCC President and CEO Chuck Davidson makes a note of during his Chamber tours.

“The ingenuity and dedication of these companies to Manitoba never cease to amaze me,” said Davidson. “We have such a diverse business community that it’s a shame we can only hand out five awards each year.”

The 33rd MBiz Awards Presented by Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries will take place Friday, October 28 at the Victoria Inn Hotel & Convention Centre. Information regarding partnership opportunities can be obtained by contacting Carolynne Jansen, MCC Director of Business Development & Partnerships.
