Pallister Breakfast 2

The man the polls indicate could form the next government in Manitoba made an impassioned pitch to the business community at the kick off to the 2016 Provincial Leaders Series Breakfast Presented by Deloitte.

Over the course of his 25 minute address, Conservative leader Brian Pallister spoke about the genesis of inspirational individuals that have helped shape his vision for Manitoba. Mr. Pallister touched on his previously announced plans for early education, reducing ambulance fees, and returning the PST to seven (7) per cent in his first term.

The Tory leader also took the opportunity to announce details on the Conservative plan to create an advisory team of top business leaders to work with the premier and government to create new jobs and economic growth in the province. According to the Conservative press release, the Premier’s Enterprise Team would consist of up to 12 members, drawn from Manitoba’s business community. The Manitoba Chambers of Commerce, the Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce, the Aboriginal Chamber of Commerce and the Business Council of Manitoba will each have the opportunity to propose representation.

Our next Leaders Series breakfast event is Wednesday, April 6 with Liberal leader Rana Bokhari. Details and ticket information can be found in the events section of the website. This breakfast series is sponsored by the Winnipeg Construction Association and proudly supported by the Manitoba School Boards Association.
