As a Profit 500 company 2 years running, People Corporation brings to the Winnipeg market a financial executive position that goes beyond the traditional duties of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO).  The CFO for People Corporation will be a key member of the Executive Management team and will bring a depth of financial and business experience to the organization.  As a strong mentor, coach and leader, the CFO will lead a high performance team of financial reporting, accounting, IT and legal professionals.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO for People Corporation will act as a strategic advisor to the CEO and Executive Management team by providing business, financial and market expertise that goes beyond just the financials but that has impact and influence over business objectives and opportunities.

The CFO has oversight over the following:

  • Financial management and planning
  • Risk management and Corporate Governance
  • Accounting management and financial analysis
  • IT Infrastructure
  • Legal Affairs

As the successful candidate:

 You are a financial leader with a CA designation who will bring 7+ years’ of experience in a financial management role.  You believe in building strong working relationships with partners, internal and external stakeholders and prefer a collaborative and team oriented culture.  You have a high level of integrity and hold yourself accountable while expecting the same from your team.  You are an objective executive leader who possesses high self-awareness and can understand the balance between providing feedback and being an advocate for evaluating growth, risk and opportunities.  Strength in leadership and a history of guiding high performing teams is essential to this role as is experience working within public practice.  Industry experience and leading financial operations in a multiple entity or shared services model are considered assets.
