MCC Joins Calls By Tourism For Feds To “Connect America”

The Tourism Industry Association of Canada (TIAC) is looking for support as the continue with their central push this year for a program they are calling “Connecting America”. The program is  a public/private CTC driven three year campaign to reconnect with the US market focusing on existing city pairs.  They are asking the federal government for a three year commitment of $105M that they are proposing will be partner matched for a $210M three-year campaign in the US starting in 2015.

The Manitoba Chambers of Commerce is throwing our support behind TIAC and has sent a letter to Minister of State Maxime Bernier expressing our support, and seeking the of the federal government’s participation in the “Connecting America” program.
