Reporting to the President and with oversight for all Director-level reports, the Vice President, Dufresne Furniture & Appliance is accountable for the successful operation of the purchasing, advertising and retail stores within the Dufresne Brand through the development of strategy, goals and objectives in support of the achievement of financial profitability.  You are responsible for developing objectives for both marketing and purchasing policies, programs and activities for the stores to ensure the highest level of performance from the front end of the business by providing exceptional customer service.

Key responsibilities include:

æ  Develop annual sales goals; related budgets and periodic sales forecast revisions.

æ  Develop, implement and manage sales, merchandising and marketing strategies, plans and programs needed to achieve sales goals within budget.

æ  Establish and assess marketing and sales priorities and opportunities with appropriate research to contribute to developing planning strategies.

æ  As required, develop assessments of sale potential and plans/programs required to capitalize on new product development or acquisition opportunities.

æ  Maintain effective and cost efficient organization and staffing for store and sales groups, providing each with on-going direction, training and feedback to ensure productivity and motivation.

æ  Develop, direct and coordinate activities of marketing, purchasing, visual presentation and sales teams in accomplishing goals and objectives within corporate policies.

æ  Optimization of productivity across the Brand by researching, developing and implementing best practices within all departments.

æ  Development and integration of the Brand culture across all functional units to ensure a clear vision.

æ  Participate in the development and execution of long-range corporate strategy.

You and Your Experience:

æ  You have a Bachelor degree in Business, Marketing (or related field) and/or a combination of equivalent related education and experience.

æ  You have a minimum of 10+ years’ experience in marketing and sales in a retail environment.

æ  You have a minimum of 8 years’ experience in a leadership role at a senior level.

æ  You enjoy being hands on, as well as providing strong leadership and direction.

æ  You are a strong mentor and leader who prefers to lead by example, promoting a highly accountable team-based, collaborative culture.

æ  You are a self-motivated professional who possesses strong time management skills.

æ  You have a passion for quality customer service and encourage that in your team.

æ  You are results oriented and hold yourself accountable in addition to your team.

æ  You are a clear and concise communicator both verbally and in written form.

æ  You ideally have multi-location experience, specifically as it relates to managing teams, operations and budgets.
