A new promotion from Manitoba Chambers of Commerce member Frontiers North Adventures is tempting polar bear lovers to explore Churchill while helping contribute to Assiniboine Park Zoo.

A one-day trip to Churchill to see the polar bears on October 20 is being organized for $1,499 per person, with $300 from each ticket going to the zoo’s Imagine a Place Campaign to fund the upcoming Journey to Churchill exhibit.

Dr. Stephen D. Petersen, head of conservation and research at the zoo and the International Polar Bear Conservation Centre, will accompany a group of 30 people on the trip.

The excursion will include round-trip airfare to Churchill from Winnipeg, a full day on a Tundra Buggy Adventure, meals, and transfers.
