New Season, New Stadium Good to Go

Unless you have been living under a rock, you already know that the Winnipeg Blue Bombers are about to make history in their brand-new, state-of-the-art home—Investors Group Field.

As the first, newly-built stadium in Canada in 35 years, Winnipeg’s Investors Group Field offers 33,500 seats expandable to 40,000—each with its own cup holder—along with 450 precast bleachers for every kind of major event—from the Grey Cup to the upcoming Paul McCartney concert in August.

Truly cutting-edge in its design, it is the largest, canopied structure in the country. This amazing, new smoke-free venue also provides excellent cover from rain and snow while comfortably sheltering patrons from the sun. Worthy of special mention is its innovative, sunken bowl design—where the playing field dips into the ground 25 feet below the main concourse.

Fans take note: You now have two massive HD Boards (30’ x 123’) as big as the Jumbotron at Rogers Centre in Toronto, 50 per cent more washrooms—all with wheelchair access, six elevators, 50 per cent more concessions, over 240 TV monitors and a 4,000 square foot retail outlet open all year ‘round.

Remember:  the Blue Bombers take on the Montreal Alouettes in their Inaugural Game on Thursday, June 27, 2013. TSN and RDS with its ever-popular TSN Panel will be there to broadcast the action in English and French nation-wide. Kick-Off is at 8 pm, with a special Pre-Game Ceremony at 7:30 pm.
