Mediterranean Immigration Initiative Planning Underway for Manitoba

A consortium of community and ethnocultural partners has been working with the Department of Immigration and Multiculturalism on a new immigration initiative for the recruitment of skilled workers in southern Europe.  It is called the “Mediterranean Immigration Initiative”.

Planning is currently underway for the initiative which may include exploratory visits to Manitoba and an overseas recruitment mission by the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP), community members and employers.

To help the committee in their planning, employers are being asked to fill this short survey about their labour market needs and their interest in participating in this initiative.  The survey can be found at
