Ceridian’s Powerpay Mobile Application Now Enables Payroll Processing from BlackBerry or iPhone

Nov 9, 2011 | Business News and Tips, Corporate Member News

Payroll on the beach? It’s possible. Payroll at midnight from bed? Sure – why not? Now there’s an app for that!”

Ceridian Canada Ltd., a leading human capital management solutions provider, today announced that its Powerpay Mobile application, which now provides full payroll functionality on-the-go, is available for download. iPhone, iPad and BlackBerry users who are customers of Ceridian’s flexible Powerpay payroll solution can download the app for a one-time-only fee of $6.99.

“We are so pleased to announce the productivity enhancements offered in this new release,” said Shelley Ng, Ceridian Canada VP, Product Management. “Our more than 37,000 Powerpay www.powerpay.ca customers are primarily small business owners who are busy people with a breadth of responsibilities. They value ease-of-use, convenience, and access to HR/payroll expertise that can reduce the labour-intensive nature of these functions. We conceived our app with these needs in mind – customers can manage payroll from start to finish without being tied to a computer. They can pay employees accurately and on time, add new employees, access valuable reports to assist in decision-making, and more. This app is full payroll functionality on a smartphone. “

Powerpay Mobile replicates Powerpay Web’s essential functionality, eliminating the need for a computer, and enabling customers to enter data, preview and process regular and extra payroll runs – all via smartphone. The app is completely secure, requiring three levels of sign-in, and includes support from Ceridian’s Small Business Service Delivery team as well as a Total Satisfaction Guarantee.

The app also enables customers to:

  • conduct Rapid or Regular Time Entry with employee search;
  • add new employees, edit profiles or perform status changes with ROE;
  • view deductions and contributions;
  • review online payroll reports; and,
  • manage Advanced Job Costing (new within Powerpay Web version 4.0 released November 3, 2011).

“Payroll is a critical business function, but we understand that not everyone possesses expertise in this area,” said Craig Wild, Ceridian Canada Product Manager – Powerpay. “Ceridian Canada designed Powerpay Web (Canada’s first web-based payroll service), and the Powerpay Mobile app (Canada’s first mobile payroll application), as solutions to the challenges and complexities of payroll, and to ensure customer compliance with legislation. Best of all, these products give our customers the freedom to manage payroll whenever they like and from wherever is most convenient for them.
