A one hour television documentary “The University…And the Community” A Living/Learning Experience, aired on Sunday, October 9, 2011 on OMNI Ontario and now can be seen on line at 

Filmed on campus and narrated by Brad Roberts, the lead singer of the “Crash Test Dummies” and UWinnipeg graduate, this documentary was inspired by UWinnipeg President and Vice-Chancellor Dr. Lloyd Axworthy’s concept of Community Learning. The piece highlights the Urban Inner-City Studies program, The Model School, Global Welcome Centre, Wii Chiiwaakanak Learning Centre, Diversity Foods – and the commitment and participation of UWinnipeg students, faculty and staff. 

This documentary was produced by produced by Darcy Ataman and Joel Goldberg and Unicom One Productions Inc.
