Event Recap: The Acrodex Golf Classic of Manitoba

It was a cool and cloudy day when the golfers teed off in the Manitoba Chambers of Commerce’s annual golf tournament, “the Acrodex Classic of Manitoba”.  

On September 21 the Acrodex Classic of Manitoba was held at Elmhurst Golf and Country Club.  With the course in excellent shape everyone had a great time golfing.  

We would like to thank all of the sponsors from our title sponsor to the prize sponsors, without your support we could not have put on such a great event.  

The evening started with dinner followed by greetings from our title sponsor, Acrodex. Speaking on their behalf was Jeff Koziuk, Territory Manager of Saskatchewan and Manitoba, Acrodex.   

At the end of his greeting, Jeff presented the first prizes of the evening:

The next presenter was Joanne Gudmundson of the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra. She presented “The Music of Paul McCartney” tickets to the winners of the Longest Drive with a Marshmallow:

Longest Drive Ladies with a Marshmallow – Ladies’ Category: Julie Turenne Maynard 

The next presenter was Rod Giesbrecht of Imaginet. He drew two names, each winning a $250 gift Certificate to Hy’s Restaurant:

Our Master of Ceremonies presented the rest of the awards starting with the Putt-A-Round Contest. The Prizes were supplied by Manitoba Lotteries, Toshiba and Delta Winnipeg:
