Ebay-Mondetta Auctioning Jets Tickets to Regular Season Opening and Closing Games! Proceeds go to The Mondetta Charity Foundation’s initiatives in East Africa!

Sep 27, 2011 | Corporate Member News

The Mondetta Charity Foundation is giving the highest donor the opportunity to purchase Winnipeg’s most sought after golden tickets: a pair of Jets tickets to the Opening Night Game, accompanied by another pair of tickets to the Final Regular Season Game at face value!!!

All proceeds generated by the auction will go directly to the MCF’s initiatives in East Africa, which include an orphanage in Kenya, a primary school in Uganda and the newest initiative, the 2012 Mondetta Charity Foundation Uganda Dental Clinic Mission which aims to bring much needed dental care to children who would otherwise forever go without.

Between watching the Jets hit home ice for the first time in 15 years and watching them play their last pre-playoff game after what is sure to be an incredible and emotional season, the winner of this auction will know they have taken part in two momentous historical events in addition to supporting a worthy cause to provide assistance to the children who need it most.

PHENOMENAL LOWER BOWL TICKETS FOR SECTION 107, ROW 6, SEATS 3 & 4, FOR:

Opening Home Game Sunday, October 9th, 2011 Jets vs. Montreal Canadians

AND

Final Regular Season Game Saturday, April 7th, 2012 Jets vs. Tampa Bay Lightning

The bidding will start at the face value of the four tickets ($706.80), everything in excess of the face value will be eligible for a CHARITABLE TAX RECEIPT (as per the CRA’s calculation, see below).  The amount donated beyond face value as well as the face value itself will go to the Mondetta Charity Foundation.

If the auction is able to reach, or even better exceed, the price being offered for comparable seats, every single child in MCF’s care will have the opportunity to partake in a feeding program and be given access to the educational and medical initiatives operated by the MCF, specifically the child victims that are the most vulnerable to the devastating effects of the current famine in East Africa. The daily meal provided by the MCF is oftentimes the only meal many of the children will receive that day and the dental care administered through MCF’s Mission will likely be the only dental care these children will have ever received in their lives.

You will not find this opportunity anywhere else.  Please see watermarked letter from Mark Chipman, Governor of Winnipeg Jets Hockey Club, validating sale of these tickets.  This is a legitimate auction, satisfying all legal requirements.

Winner must process PayPal payment by 11:59 PM Thursday, October 6th, 2011 CST.  Delivery of tickets and charitable tax receipt will be arranged and take place on Friday, October 7th.

The charitable tax receipt will be calculated as per CRA’s regulations which state that the donation must be for at least 1.25 times the face value before a receipt can be issued.  Therefore, receipt value will be for amount of donation less $883.50.
