Recognizing The Best New Media Innovators in Canada: Deloitte supports the 2011 Digi Awards

Sep 7, 2011 | Corporate Member News

Are you the next big name in digital media?

After 11 years of recognizing media innovators across the country, the Canadian New Media Awards (CNMA) have become the Digi Awards. With a reputation as Canada’s premier digital media awards, the program captures the breadth and scale of the groundbreaking work coming out of the Canadian digital media landscape, and recognizes the people who bring it all together.

In addition to naming a “who’s who” shortlist for each of the 16 awards categories, this year’s Digi Awards will also feature “The List”—an “index of Canada’s digital elite”—recognizing top companies in each category.

Deloitte is proud to sponsor of the Canadian Top Digital Companies award, the program’s main category which will be awarded to three companies this year.

To be eligible, your company must be:

  • Headquartered in Canada and Canadian-owned (of at least 51%)
  • An interactive digital media firm
  • Have revenues over $2 million in the past year

What criteria are we looking for?

  • Competitive advantage—clear market focus, successful business model and strategy, superior intellectual property, and superior customer adoption rate
  • Size, growth and market attractiveness—rapidly growing market segment

Management effectiveness and organization—entrepreneurial experience, strength and depth of corporate culture, proven track record of managing profitable growth

Financial performance—over $2 million in revenues

What’s next?

If your company qualifies, we will set up an interview, ideally with your CEO/CFO. Companies considered for an award will be reviewed by a panel of judges at both a regional and national level. Finalists will be notified in November and winners will be announced at the Digi Awards gala in December.
