If you’re thinking about launching a crowdfunding campaign for a feature film project, pick up some cool tips from Koo, the creator of Man-child.

Koo has written up a huge post reflecting on the first week of his funding campaign to raise $115,000 on Kickstarter for his film.

While Kickstarter poses some problems for Canadians trying to raise money using the platform (like having a US mailing address, US bank account and being a permanent US resident. Canadian can use IndieGoGo instead) the lessons Koo has learned are universal.

Koo also authors NoFilmSchool – a popular film blog.
