Downtown’s Largest Bookstore Now Open: Expanded UWinnipeg Bookstore Offers More Space, Selection in New AnX Facility

The University of Winnipeg Bookstore is now open in its new location in the AnX. This new 6,000-square foot location resides inside the former bus depot at 491 Portage Avenue, which is accessed through the north side of the new Balmoral Transit Station. 

“The Bookstore offers significantly more space for students to find their course books supplies and so much more,” explained Mike Clark, Manager, University of Winnipeg Bookstore. “And in the coming months the Bookstore will have regional literature including Manitoba publishers as well as new and noteworthy best sellers, newspapers, magazines and academic periodicals.” 

In addition to the expanded space, this new store will feature exciting new merchandise including a much larger selection of UWinnipeg clothing, souvenirs, school supplies and backpacks. With its core mission of providing access to affordable choices, the UWinnipeg Bookstore will feature a selection of new, used, Rent-A-Text, and Cafescribe digital titles..  These affordable options are now available both in-store and online here.

UWinnipeg’s AnX will also include a range of contemporary new services including a new walk-in medical clinic, Powerland Computers with an MTS Connect store, Canad Inns’ Garbonzo’s Pizza Pub and a Starbucks coffee shop that will all open later this fall.
