Allstream today announced that it has signed a four-year contract to continue providing secure IP network service to KMH Cardiology and Diagnostic Centres (KMH), North America’s largest provider of nuclear cardiology services.

KMH will use Allstream’s Managed Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) service to increase productivity, tighten security, and strengthen business continuity with improved site-to-site connectivity across eight KMH sites in the province of Ontario. KMH will also receive round-the-clock network management from Allstream.

Dean Prevost, President of Allstream said, “KMH is a dynamic and growing business, and our MPLS service can play a key role in supporting that growth, while connecting employees and improving the efficiency of their operations across Ontario.”

Allstream’s MPLS service simplifies and streamlines IP addressing to optimize data networks without the use of authentication, encryption or tunneling protocols. Together, this provides a secure mode of transport for a defined set of users including employees, partners and customers.

“Allstream demonstrated a commitment to collaborate with us to meet our needs, and our clients’ needs in a cost-effective way,” said Anton Ionescu, Director of IT for KHM. “Allstream’s deep portfolio of IP solutions will give us the tools to ensure we can meet our technology requirements today and in the future.”
