New instrument landing system designed to enhance safety
Koch Fertilizer Canada, ULC has pledged $10,000 to help fund the new Instrument Landing System (ILS) at the Brandon Airport.The ILS improves the safety of aircraft landing at the Brandon Airport in inclement weather.
“We are committed to improving the quality of life in Brandon,” said Lindsay Kaspick, Koch Fertilizer Canada’s managing director. “The ILS will enhance the airport’s capabilities, including enabling patients to be flown from Brandon to major centers for medical emergencies. We are pleased to support this important and much-needed improvement to the city’s airport.”
The ILS removes barriers to airport usage and may also lead to further opportunities for commercial air service to the area.

Mr. Kaspick presented the $10,000 cheque to Mayor Shari Decter Hirst at Brandon City Hall on Thursday, April 7, 2011.
