No charge for MTS residential and small business landline customers in Manitoba to make calls to Japan until May 11, 2011
MTS Allstream Inc. announced today it will provide free long distance calling to Japan for all MTS residential and small business landline customers in Manitoba. MTS will apply this retroactively to March 11, 2011, so residential and small business landline customers who have made long distance calls to Japan following the earthquake will automatically receive a bill credit.
“With the ongoing complexities of the devastation in Japan it’s important that people are able to reach one another,” said Kelvin Shepherd, President, MTS. “We hope that free long distance calls will enable more of our MTS customers to get in touch with their loved ones at this critical time.”
MTS residential and small business landline customers will be able to reach friends, family and colleagues in Japan free of charge until May 11, 2011.
Consistent with MTS policies on long distance calling, this offer is intended to support the personal calling needs of customers and is not available for resale or other enterprise commercial purposes.
