Meyers Norris Penny LLP (MNP), one of Canada’s largest chartered accountancy and business advisory firms, announced today that Greenridge Business Systems Corporation (Greenridge), an information technology consulting firm, will join MNP effective April 15, 2011.
“We believe this merger will enhance MNP’s service offering in IT Consulting, while providing both Greenridge and MNP clients with a greater depth of services,” said Daryl Ritchie, CEO, MNP. “MNP and Greenridge have partnered on a number of engagements in the past. With our experience and complementary skill set, we recognized that together we could deliver a higher level of service to all our clients.”
“This merger is a perfect example of how two firms can come together to provide more resources and services to give our clients the edge they need to stay competitive and profitable,” said Scott Greenlay, Co-CEO, Greenridge. “It’s truly a win-win situation for both our firms and the clients we serve.”
Greenridge provides information technology consulting services to local, national and multi-national corporations as well as government, including federal, provincial and municipal governments and crown corporations. It was founded as an information technology consultancy firm committed to developing innovative, successful and stable technology solutions. Over the years, Greenridge has grown to become a recognized provider of the products and services behind some of North America’s most successful technology projects.
“MNP also serves several industries and specialty groups and understands the markets in which our clients operate,” said Brian Beveridge, Co-CEO, Greenridge. “We are thrilled to be joining a national firm that has numerous specialists across the country, a passion for business and an unwavering commitment to their clients.”
Ritchie said that this merger will take IT Consulting to a new level across the firm. “MNP focuses on strategic mergers for the benefit of our clients. This merger will allow us to build on our existing strengths and ensure we continue our client-focused approach to doing business.”
Greenlay and Beveridge expect the transition to be seamless for their team and clients and will remain for the time being in their current locations in Winnipeg, Ottawa and Calgary.
