Nov 18, 2010 | Corporate Member News

Imaginet, North America’s largest Microsoft ALM consulting and training firm, has partnered with Telerik, a leading vendor of development tools and user interface components for .NET, to offer free agile training with every purchase of Telerik TeamPulse Standard Edition, a value of $399 USD.

Imaginet’s Agile Academy Bootcamp provides a five-session online course geared to help teams get started with the basics of agile development practices. The course will takes customers from planning their first agile project to helping them evolve their current software development practices over time.

“This is a great opportunity for our customers to better understand how to get started with agile development”, says Rod Giesbrecht, Imaginet’s CEO. “After working with over 400 customers to better their application lifecycle practices in the past 5 years we have observed that the most difficult step, in the adoption of agile practices, is the first. We’re here to help remove that barrier, getting teams started down the right path, the first time”.

Anyone involved or interested in successfully taking a project from an idea to successful software release will benefit from this online course. That Agile Academy Bootcamp will offer the following five sessions:

  1. Getting Started With Scrum
  2. Planning an Agile Project
  3. Creating and Managing a Backlog
  4. Estimating and Decomposing Product Backlog
  5. Successful Transition from Traditional Development Methods to Agile

“This is an amazing offering from Imaginet”, says Joel Semeniuk, the Executive VP of Team Productivity for Telerik. “This type of training perfectly complements TeamPulse – not only will our customers get an amazing tool to help manage their agile team, they will have the support needed to understand and use core agile practices in their environment.

The first Agile Academy Bootcamp for TeamPulse customers is scheduled to start on January 17th 2011. For more information about how to register for this course or claim your free training, visit the Imaginet web site at: www.imaginets.com/agile-bootcamp.
