As the 2010-2011 Chair of the Manitoba Chambers of Commerce, Wayne McWhirter will oversee the Board’s transition to a governance Board and the installation of the MCC’s new three-year plan.
“It is a great honour to be selected as the Chair for the Manitoba Chambers of Commerce” said Wayne McWhirter. “We look forward to our 80th year, now serving over 10,000 businesses in Manitoba. As an umbrella organization for local Chambers of Commerce, we will continue to develop the strongest member network in our Province. We will also enhance our role as the first point of contact for Manitoba businesses through the ongoing and strategic evolution of our communications.”

He has been with the firm since 1982 and along with his duties as a client service partner providing professional services to owner managed and public sector organizations, he also is Vice President of Quality Management for the firm.
Wayne received his Bachelor of Commerce (Honours.) degree from the University of Manitoba in 1978. He obtained his designation of Chartered Accountant in 1981 and became a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Canada that same year.
