This week, the Manitoba Bureau of Statistics (MBS) is initiating its Business Conditions Survey of the 600 largest Private Sector employers in Manitoba.  The survey is being carried out in partnership with the Manitoba Chambers of Commerce.

Each company’s response is very important.  It will enable MBS to develop a broad based profile of the current and emerging economic situation that Manitoba’s top employers are facing.  For example, what is the overall state of business, sales trends, employment trends, and identification of any operational difficulties such as shortage of skilled labour.

Completing this short two-page survey should only take a few minutes.  All responses to the survey will be kept in strict confidence as required by the Manitoba Statistics Act.

While MBS is only directly surveying the largest employers in Manitoba, they would also like to hear from smaller companies.  Small and Medium sized business, with less than 100 employees, can request to complete a survey.  Public Sector organizations can also participate.

To obtain a survey, send an e-mail to: [email protected]

All businesses replying to the survey will receive a copy of MBS’ report on Manitoba’s business conditions.  With the report, each company will be able to compare their own situation with other Manitoba companies in their industry group.

MBS is very appreciative of the support of the Manitoba Business Community.
