Dennis Brownlee, Chairman of the Manitoba Chambers of Commerce, was honoured to be selected to give closing remarks for Federal Finance Minister Jim Flaherty’s report on Canada’s Economic Action Plan.

The MCC has worked on a wide range of issues with the Federal Government from pre-Budget Consultations to regional economic development to CentrePort.

And it was the second time Brownlee had met Minister Flaherty. Their first meeting was last year during a pre-Budget roundtable where the MCC suggested the government respond to the global fiscal crisis by focusing on educational infrastructure and committing to not raise taxes.
