On October 21, 2009, Canada’s premier national business event was held in Toronto. Economic Edge ‘09, presented by Microsoft® Canada’s Can>Win initiative and the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, brought together some of Canada’s top opinion leaders and decision-makers from the private sector, government, and academia to explore strategies to create a competitive advantage – for Canada and Canadian businesses. As part of Economic Edge ‘09, and our on-going thought leadership policy papers, the Canadian Chamber is pleased to provide you with a copy of our paper The Economic Edge: It’s Canada vs The World

The paper explains the key trends that are radically transforming the economic landscape, and their impact on Canada’s businesses. It focuses on two key questions: How can businesses succeed in the rapidly changing global marketplace, and what can government do to ensure the long-term prosperity of the economy and the global success of our businesses? In short, how do we create and sustain a competitive edge?

We hope you find the paper and its recommendations informative and thought provoking. We welcome your feedback.
